Celebrate “Christmas in August “and the printing of Susan Topp Weber’s beautiful new book, “Nativities of the Southwest.”

Susan will make a presentation on the topic at 2 PM on Sunday, August 30 at the museum, and will be around to sign her books until 4 PM. Susan will also be bringing some wonderful Southwest nativities with her that will be for sale in the store that day only.

Susan has owned Susan’s Christmas Shop in Santa Fe for more than 30 years. She’s previously written the popular titles, “Christmas in Santa Fe” and “Nativities of the World.” Each of these books will be for sale in the museum store throughout the year.

The museum store will also be featuring some special, Native handmade Christmas ornaments — dolls wearing the traditional clothing of many of the Southwestern tribes. You will also be able to see the new (and related) museum exhibit, “Wearable Art: Identity and Clothing” that opens
August 21.

Make plans to beat the heat by thinking Christmas and stopping by the Millicent Rogers Museum on August 30 for “Nativities of the Southwest” and “Wearable Art: Identity and Clothing.”
